MESA Engineering Program (MEP)
The goal of the MESA Engineering Program (MEP) is to increase the number of competent and qualified graduates entering the engineering profession from groups with low eligibility rates in college admissions. MEP successfully achieves this goal by actively recruiting students, providing support services until graduation, and acting as a liaison with companies offering employment experiences.
MEP is an academic program that supports educationally disadvantaged and first-generation college students (i.e. first person in family to attend college) to attain four-year degrees in engineering or computer science.
MEP welcomes all student participation; however, we strongly encourage participation of students stemming from groups with historically low participation rates in college admissions. The programs are partnerships between MESA (Mathematics, Engineering, Science Achievement), the host university, industry and various engineering associations.
